Charitable Gift Planning for Women - Before, During, and After Transitions in Life

A panel of three dynamic local women leaders will share their unique perspectives on how to deepen the conversations with your organization’s female donors/clients to take conversations beyond transactional to transformational, for both the donor/client and her family and your organization. The panel will focus on the challenges and financial issues that are especially relevant to women at various stages of their lives including:

  • The importance of encouraging women donors/clients to pass on their values and philanthropic goals to younger generations;
  • Discussing how to develop a plan to ensure all types of financial goals are fulfilled;
  • How to ensure your donor/clients legacy is impactful, meaningful, and fulfilling; and
  • Practical suggestions and tools for working with women in transitions such as widowhood, divorce, retirement, empty nester, career change, etc.

SPEAKER BIO:

JULIE JOHNSON,  is the Chief Operations Officer and Director of Philanthropic Services at Adelphi Trust Company, bringing over 23 years of experience in wealth management and philanthropic services.  Her professional journey began at a Texas commercial bank, where she advanced to pivotal roles such as General Counsel and Director of Wealth Management. Julie further expanded her career at one of the top five largest national banks in the U.S., assuming national leadership roles including National Manager of the Philanthropic Solutions Team and interim Director of Philanthropic Services.

In 2022, Julie relocated to St. Petersburg to join the co-founders and launch Adelphi Trust Company, the first majority women-owned bank or trust company in Florida. Her unique background places her at the intersection of wealth management and philanthropy, providing invaluable insights into both realms.

Kathleen Rehl, owned Rehl Financial Advisors for 18 years, followed by an encore career empowering widows through speaking, writing, and research. Now in her 78th year, Kathleen is a storyteller, inspiring legacy and longevity planning. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Next Avenue, Kiplinger’s, CNBC, Humble Dollar, Sixty & Me, AgeBuzz, and others. As adjunct faculty at The American College of Financial Services, Kathleen encourages SMILER™ Philanthropy.
